Meet Our Principal
Anthony Guerrero
Dr. Anthony Guerrero serves as Principal of Seagoville Middle School in Dallas ISD. His unwavering commitment to educational equity drives his work to ensure that all students, particularly historically underserved and economically disadvantaged students, have access to high-quality learning opportunities and the support necessary to succeed.
Throughout his career, Dr. Guerrero has focused on implementing systems and interventions that improve student outcomes while developing the capacity of teachers and campus leaders. During his tenure at Sam Tasby Middle School, he helped lead efforts that closed the Science achievement gap by 66% and contributed to significant gains in campus accountability outcomes. As Principal of Seagoville Middle School, he led the campus from a D accountability rating to a B rating, including an A in Closing the Gaps, through strategic planning, targeted interventions, and a relentless focus on student achievement.
In addition to academic growth, Dr. Guerrero has prioritized building a positive and supportive school culture. Under his leadership, student survey data and campus climate and culture results have demonstrated consistent upward trends, reflecting increased student engagement, stronger relationships, and a more positive learning environment for both students and staff.
Dr. Guerrero holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Chicago, a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Southern Methodist University, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Southern Methodist University. He remains committed to developing leaders, building effective systems, and ensuring equitable opportunities and outcomes for all students.
